Gluten free and very accommodating. I had the fish daily special. Very yummy but needed to be a bit bigger serve and more sauce. Sauce could of had a bit more zing. Fish cooked perfectly, patty very tasty. 10yr old didn’t like the look of anything on kids menu (boring and plain food) so had a pizza and took ½ home. She said it was awesome. Staff amazing. What Dolly Rutherford dislikes about Durty Nelly's Irish Pub:
Knees-up, noisy, cheap pub dinner. Lots of fun here. There were only six of us and although we ordered food at the same time on the same table number, it wasn’t well timed, and one of us didn’t get her meal until after we had all finished. The staff were apologetic but still, a bit deflating when you go out to dinner with friends. The bar snacks seemed more appetising than the meals, although the steak was it bad for... The menu is so extensive! I love a good Irish bar and and was super excited to see pints of Guinness for $8.50 and the extensive menu with Aussies classics as well are some more traditional fare. I order the $20 Sunday Roast and a pint of Black, boy was I disappointed - it's tasted like a boil in the bag meat and gravy mix no roast tattys and I could not work out if the mash was real potato or just that mix up stuff. My partner however had the fillet steak and was very happy with his choice. The Guinness was watery and tasted really bitter unlike other rival Irish bars around the Perth who can still manage a drinkable pint. I opted for a pint of Kilkenny next and that was much better! The service was good and staff all friendly and it has a nice chilled out vibe perfect for a quiet Sunday session. I will go back and try something from the menu rather than the special board to see if it's any better - I shall update this post when I do :-)
Had two meals at the pub whilst we were in Perth. The Wednesday night they had steak for $18.00 which my wife had, as a weekly special. I had the Beef and Guinness pie it was amazing, served with mashed potato and corn. We visited again tonight Friday before we went to the airport, my wife had the Irish Stew and I had the pie again, it was quite noisy in the pub tonight being a Friday, but the atmosphere was great.
Nice pub with good food, great service and lively atmosphere. I really appreciate when the portions are big. In the late afternoon, it could be very busy so keep that it mind. Go there with friends not a date.
Friday night beers before dinner, and the staff managed to keep pace with the flurry of orders. Great to see a venue so well patronised, with generous looking portions on the meals served, and blend of inside-outside seating.
Good Tbone steak lunch special for $17 which is durty cheap for Perth Nice reasonably priced WA wines on menu and friendly service Avoid Grilld next door
