The chef at Kura is truly gifted. He has such a careful style to his creations and he puts such creativity into his dishes. I never usually order rolls when I eat Japanese food (I prefer nigiri) but their Alaska roll is amazing. So much tobiko on it! This is my favourite roll now! If you look at my sunomono photo you can see how nicely he prepares it. The chawanmushi is so filling and delicious. You don't usually fin... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Japanese Kitchen Kura:
I ate back there for a few months and it was average. Average price, average food, no real atmosphere, of.i could talk about something there when walking from anyway, but no one in the city has ever hit isshin in my books and if I want japanese... it will take a lot to bring me somewhere else. Freshest Saba I've ever had in my life. And being from Vancouver, I've had sushihundreds of times. So far this is the best Nigiri in Penticton. Phili roll actually could taste the fresh flavour of wild salmon. These people do it right!Hata is soooo good!!
Good food, good service and comfortable dining area. The only issue was parking lot. There is only one entrance/exit combination.
The food is excellent, parking sucks, I'd recommend parking at DQ to pick up your food. Good prices and fresh quality. Will order again. Loved the unique sushi rolls.
It the quaint hole in the wall places that reveal the gems. The sushi is diverse, well prepared and presented, with excellent prices. I am glad I found this place and will enjoy visiting again. The family here is very sweet and polite as well. They also serve sake which was perfect to end the dayVegetarian options: Sushi is very veggie friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy ground floor entry
Seems like they don't add msg to their sushi, that it is a good thing: healthier and you can actually taste the ingredients. The environment needs some work done to make the place cozier, but I guess it's fair to say dependent on the customer traffic to generate extra cash to spend on renos.
