Smitty's Pancake House Restaurant

Dropped in for a quick and easy breakfast before hitting the road...probably some of the best fried eggs and waffles to be had. Staff were couteous, attentive and prompt in taking order, keeping coffee mugs filled and in providing the bill. Excellent no frills breakfast when you need to hit the road.

Smith's Parksvill is a great stop for an excellent breakfast especially if you have arrived at Nanamo by an early ferry and are heading up Vancover Island and are looking for a fulfilling breakfast. The hash brown cubes are very filling and the portion as a side is big, great to share with. Omelette is large and well filled, pancakes are fluffy and excellent. Portion size is on the large side so don't get too carried away or you may not fit back in your trousers. The warning to the fellow British patrons is the HP SAUCE IS NOT THE SAME AS IN THE UK, if you are expecting it to be you will be disappointed, embrace this differents, you will be surprised if has a fresh fruity flavour and has less vinegar than we are used to. I intend to take a couple of bottles home to complete my breakfast condiment collection.

The service is always good here and so is the food. Be warned the portions are big so make sure you are really hungry.

We enjoyed breakfast every day while we visited Parksville. Very friendly and welcoming staff and tasty breakfasts.
