We got two take away meal boxes and had to wait 15 minutes to get the meals after paying, which was very slow. The staff gave me a sweet potato mash for free for the wait (after I asked them to change a potatoes and gravy to sweet potato mash). The sweet potato mash did not taste at all like sweet potato but just like pumpkin. Very disappointing. View all feedback.

I can't say I'm a fan, there's always an issues with items missing, or just poor quality. Most the staff are friendly, some on the other hand would rather stand around on their phones, or swearing and bagging out other staff/customers.
I don't expect 5 star service, but expect at least to be served what I ordered. firstly drink machine wasn't operational. No slushy for the kids and no Krushers at all. Then to add insult after seeing people who came after my order to be served before me. told they must have deleted it?! Top process of serving customers KFC. How about this, delete the order when you hand it over? Also we ordered hot rods with Aioli sauce guess what, after leaving with our order , no sauce and no spoons for Gravey. worst experience ever had at KFC restaurants.
The worst KFC I have ever been to. Thats not a title I give out lightly. The service or there lack of is appalling. We visited on our way home from rugby. Two other guys ordered boxed meals but I choose to try out the new Salad Shacker. Well thats where it all went wrong. It took about 15mins for it to come out, well after the other two had their meals. Seriously how long does it take to put some salad in a bowl.. I was then not given anything to eat it with. I waited another 10mins in line, which would of been fine if it was busy but there was 2 other people in the shop. Once I sat back down I realised that there was no chicken in the salad. At this point I had had enough and just asked for a refund. The one star is only because I got my money back.
Years ago the KFC in Parkes used to be pretty good for the most part, well, with what you'd expect from the fast food chain anyway. But nowadays I have to question.. are we just unlucky every single time we choose to go there? Every time. Could be during the day around lunch, could be at 5/ 6 or 7 at night, every time we have gone to get some KFC in the last year or so, something will happen that will make the service unpleasant and make us feel that it wasn't worth. As other reviewers have stated, it's very common for them to be "out of chicken", which I find funny since it's their main selling point. Anyway. No point in explaining every experience of every visit to the KFC in Parkes for the last couple of years since it all boils down to be the same experience that happened a couple nights ago. We get to KFC just after 6PM, we thought we got lucky for time since it looked empty inside the restaurant and only one car in front of us in the drive-thru. We were told that there will be a 6-8 minute wait for the original chicken, since it was still cooking, and then was told to wait by the window. After waiting in the car for a couple of minutes at the window, we were then told that they didn't have any Pepsi, so we had to swap out for another drink. Another minute or two went by and they told us there wasn't any coleslaw... they offered an additional large serving of chips which we were fine with, no problem, I guess. After this we were told to park out the front of the store and wait for our meal to be ready (they would bring it out to us).The time on the receipt, to the time when our meal finally came out to us.. we had waited for just over 20 minutes. If the chicken was the only reason we were waiting, what were they doing for at least 10 minutes of that time??We get home. I knew we should have checked the bag before we left, there was only two large servings of chips instead of three (to make up for the no coleslaw). I thought maybe.. just maaaaybe, their ticket system didn't include the extra chips and whoever was packing it didn't know any better. Nope! the receipt that was IN THE BAG, stated three large servings of chips. Ugh. Half of the chicken didn't seem freshly cooked, being very dry, and the other half was fresh but very very oily like it was literally scooped from the fryer into the box that we opened.The staff we dealt with were friendly and seemed to care when we were disappointed about the lack of this, lack of that, having to wait x amount of time for the chicken, etc, which we appreciated.. but at the end of the day the management at this particular store is shockingly terrible. I just cannot get my head around the lack of chicken, lack of Pepsi, lack of coleslaw, lack of time management, and lack of being able to count how many servings of chips were meant to be in the bag! For being peak hour for food, you would think they would make sure they have all of those items and have had cooked chicken ready to go, hey? No idea how they're able to stay open if this is happening to anyone else, it's ridiculous.
