The food was good overall. The service quick and friendly. Overall a lovely experience. We had a full 3 course lunch. However, it was quite pricey for what it was. There are several Brasseries in the area with the same quality, but more reasonable prices. It is a good place for people who would like to try a wide variety of French classics. View all feedback.
What Le Petit Chef dislikes about Le Louchebem:
After having had a good time at the louchebem bistro, I was very excited to come and test the famous mother house right in front of the street. In addition, I had several positive feedback on this restaurant of viandard. Finally the result is disappointing, the individual beef coast of 500g (snake cooking) was cold in the middle, very nervous and a lot of fall of unmeanable fat, and especially cruelly lacked flavor View all feedback.
We arrived after having booked, and just in front of us the server attributes our table to other people, relegating us in a corner. Thankfully we were able to change the table. The carpaccio has will, was not available! We ordered other meats, they were correct, careful to well specify the cooking, not always well respected. The trims are any. The terrace was well heated, a meat specialist without more.
For meat lovers this place is just topissimo with in particular the plate of 3 meats at will. beautiful wine map at correct prices. great classics of French cuisine.
Went for dinner and had a great evening. The restaurant is on a quiet corner and we had a table in the window. We had snails and the green bean salad to start, and the rump steak and 1/4 chicken for main. The steak was excellent, it came rare and was expertly cooked and very good quality. the chicken was flavourful and not at all dry. For dessert we had the tarte tatin and profiteroles, which were amazing. Service was friendly and quick. Overall we had a great night and would highly recommend if you are in Paris.
This was our third time eating at Le Louchebem and there is a reason we keep coming back! The restaurant is known for its meats, yet they easily catered to the vegetarians in our group. The food is delicious - we ordered the ham and it was perfection (and I typically do not like ham, so that is saying something!) The pace and the service were exactly as I have come to expect and enjoy in Paris - very relaxed, but all is taken care of in the end. I would highly recommend!
Quality of very variable meat. basic accompaniments probably frozen (frites, green beans.) I ordered a veal roast that was offered in meat of the day, immangeable: 95% fat, a sort of roasted carpie sliced in the plate, any juice. green beans were cold, any fries, probably frozen. Not all servers are very pleasant. dear for what it is. It's not worth it.
