Stopped on the way to the Pantheon for le déjeuner at the recommendation of Le Fooding. Service was very friendly, food and wine were very nice. Eggs with mustard, endive salad. Quiche was fantastic. Excellent if pricey Gamay. Was going to leave a tip for...the nice service but noted 2x boisson chaud on the bill. At 4 euros each. Didn’t feel like arguing on a 100 euro tab. Buyer beware. My Paris birthday dinner was here and it was a very solid pick. I want to be close to our Latin Quarter Hotel but not go to one of the many tourist places in the area. Café de la Nouvelle Mairie was the right choice....Luckily we made a reservation as the place was packed with locals when we arrived. Be aware that the menu changes daily with about 3 main choices available each night. The food was excellent (pate a great starter) and the atmosphere, Parisian.
