What Booboo Bingbang doesn't like about Las Casuelas:
Not the same quality as original Casuelas down the street. The carnitas and steak picado both were too tough to chew. One of us sent their order back, as the carnitas was not carnitas at all, it 's actually a pork roast cut and sliced, not authentic shredded carnitas (had no flavor! Great Mexican food with tons of flavors. Been here a couple of times for food and margaritas. This time I tried their burger. Let's put it this way, if you like a nice hamburger, this is not your place. Way to much bread and greasy. Patty is great, meat is delish. But my tip is to go for what they are famous for. Genuine Mexican cuisine and great margaritas. Very nice restaurant and good service. I can really recommend this place if you like Mexican food.
Let me start off by saying there is huge discrepancy between the foot traffic in this restaurant, the quality and value of their food and their surprisingly amazing drinks. The restaurant is very busy, lots of people, very cool old building with a sense of history to it. Good customer service but very bland average food for the price. I had the steak fajitas (pictured) and I have to say they were not impressive for the price. My lunch date had the fish tacos and she experienced the same level of disappointment as me. Their drinks on the other hand were amazing. I had two pina coladas and my friend had two fire balls. Really good and delightful. The restaurant had live music which was actually cool and enjoyable. So, this place might be a good place to grab drinks and listen to the live band. I would pass on the food though. I think food wise, you can find a better meal for a very similar price in the downtown area.
This place is great if you are looking for great Mexican food, drinks and entertainment!! I ordered the Chicken cilantro salad and it tastes unpaid!! Live music and they really took care of us here!! Please visit Las Casuelas for yourself and you will understand what I am talking about!! Thank you.
It was a busy night because of Village Fest in downtown Palm Springs. All restaurants were busy, but the manager (not getting his name... was great and found us table top outside. Wonderful. Margarita is with my friend on a nice evening great customer service!
