The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and friendly staff. I ordered the crab salad roll and the grilled tofu on vermicelli, both of which were delicious. Just be aware that the sauce served with the vermicelli contains fish sauce. Simply request to have your meal without it. View all feedback.
What Yysguy dislikes about Saigon Sun:
We stopped by for a late quick lunch. After we were seated, it took forever for a server to attend to us or even bring us water. The food then took a while to arrive as well after the order was taken. The food was fine though unremarkable. View all feedback.
Came here to have supper before our movie at ChinookIt's around four in the afternoon and there's only one other table here other than us.
The spring rolls have gotten really skinny, like twigsThe beef sate on rice was more like sate sauce on rice.
RIP OFF! I ordered the stir fry lemon grass chicken with rice .
We have visited this restaurant several times and have always had great food. Establishment is owed and staffed by Veitnamese so I suspect that the food is authentic. In any case they have a nice variety of soup of which we have had a few and all have been hot and tasty. They have no problem with special orders. Salad rolls and spring rolls are also always excellent. Green papaya salad is also a family favorite. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and has a cafeteria feel but is always clean and tidy.
My work colleagues and I started going to the Saigon Sun shortly after it opened and have never been disappointed. The prices are reasonable, the food fresh and in copious amounts, the service is quick and efficient. We pretty much have the bun everytime, I have enjoyed it each time and its always at the top of our list of places to go when we need to get out of the office. Try the Vietnamese coffee when you go: Cafe Sua Da! nice treat.
