"We were warmly welcomed by a vary friendly lady. Our drinks arrived quickly and a short wait for our pizzas. They were worth the wait. All piping hot and well cooked. I had the 4 Formaggio. So tasty with no one cheese overpowering the flavour. My daughter and husband equally enjoyed their chosen pizzas. Didn’t have dessert but coffee was perfect. If you enjoy pizzas, don’t miss this place. It was busy but service was spot on. Hope to go back before we leave."

"I have been coming here over 20 years. It was shut down 16 years ago for a few years due to a family dispute. Locals would come for miles around for the crab, seafood, and Portuguese pricing. But no more. Pricing and management) have changed in the past 6 months. You used to be able to pick your own fresh crab, but sadly not any more. The waitress was told to put back our crab even though we were ordering two) and the kitchen decided the weight of each crab. Were they fresh? We no longer had a choice. You must now trust their judgement. Price used to be €15.90/,kg. Yesterday was shown at €19.90/kg on line) Today's new pricing 23.90/kg. No wonder no Portuguese were eating there! Would I drive the 1 hour to get there, sadly, no. The starters of octopus salads were overcooked, lacked spicing salt, vinegar and herbs) the main meal of crab was cooked in way too much salt, the body shell lacked egg and mayonnaise and seasoning), and the additional pricing did not reflect on the wines or dishes that were presented. Stay local. That is my advice! Even the little Portuguese tasca across the street are selling food and drinks at the same prices! A glass of wine, sumol, or beer used to be under a €uro, now over 2 € each! This is NOT Lisbon! Would not recommend either place!"

"We had no hope that such a small village would have a vegan option for us, so it was a great surprise when we saw this feijoada de legumes. The waiter (which is also the owner) warned that it would take a while (what it did), but it was great to wait for something so tasteful and so full of nutrients."

"Recommend this great restaurant. a high quality restaurant with seafood. they come into this opposite for the last 10 years as I have family close to, and I never miss coming to joão de longueira. many people eat their “cataplana” and “arroz de marisco”, which is very good, but I also highly recommend their “carne de porco alentejano”, a traditional Portuguese dish with cube kartoffels and pork and mush. when someone was born and raised in portugal, this is the best I had and always make sure that it was visiting. a must"

"I’ve to bar da Praia this weekend first on Thursday and decided to come back for dinner both Friday and Saturday. Food was fantastic and I highly recommend the cucumber yogurt Soup. Also the browny and the lemon cream all together. Apart from all that...the stuff was lovely and music made all the diference. Finally the views are unforgettable as you get the your sight on the beach, river and the mountains altogether. Unmissable and unforgettable!"
