Contribute FeedbackCC's, also known as The Capilano Heights Restaurant or the Lion Forest, has been a beloved North Shore staple since 1972. With a unique dining room nestled in the forest near the Cleveland Dam, this family-owned business has been a favorite for three generations. While some recent reviews have criticized the declining quality of food and service, many loyal customers still appreciate the classic Chinese dishes done well, such as the Sweet and Sour Pork and Ginger Beef. The restaurant, although in need of some updates, continues to offer a warm and inviting atmosphere. With plans for renovations and a possible reopening in a new location, many are hopeful that CC's will return to its original wonderful state. Despite some mixed reviews, CC's remains a popular choice for those looking for good food and a unique dining experience.
This place is a great place to get good Chinese food on the North Shore We often do take-out when we are craving Chinese food.
I used to come here as a kid with my family and it had been many years since my last visit I had such fond memories of good food and good times.
The atmosphere is decent but the foods ain't good as it used to be. Lemon chicken was good, but the other foods are so-so.
Not good at all. Portions are very small and food not tasty! Also, very salty.
There are no words. We waited over an hour for our food. While waiting, we had “live” entertainment as we watched a rat, the size of a house cat, walk across two tables and scurry over the chairs around the tables. We finally lost sight of it, but did take some fantastic video that will be forwarded to the health department. There was only one waitress working the floor and answering the phone for the plethora of takeout orders. The two cooks could not keep up and customers had to be turned away. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years and it has never been this bad. When Daisy retired, Capilano Gardens, as we once knew it, went with her.We will not be returning.
