Was User at The Square Man Inn a mag?
We chose the Square Man Inn as it was recommended by a friend when I needed a restaurant with gluten-free options for visiting family. There was 10 of us , ranging from 6 months to adults and we all enjoyed our dinners - the food was excellent. The staff even bought out a "birthday" brulee for my 14 year old.Because of the separate rooms, we pretty much had a private room just for our party, which was nice. What User dislikes about The Square Man Inn:
Atmosphere great. Wine and staff wonderful pitty the food let it all down. Brushetta is not dry biscuits and caramalised onion. Tasteless Chicken crepe and pasta with tomato paste doesnt cut it. View all feedback.

Great food an very pleasant service in a comfy setting the food started out good an just got better not the cheapest place around town but certainly worth every penny spent

Menu has not changed since opening years ago. Not even a daily special board offered. Becoming very predictable dining.

Arriving at our allotted time of 1pm, I was a little nonplused to have the waitress baulk as if we weren't booked in. We were then told that our table wasn't ready and we were shunted to a cold outside table of over 30 minutes until it was. They seemed to be under- staffed as there was also a table of 16 booked at the same time as us, so the service was very slow. Once seated inside in the warmth, things improved; the food was delicious and the service first class. The wine was good although the lunch menu was a little restricted, but the servings were plentiful and the cost very reasonable.

There are not enough words to say how incredibly amazingly this beautiful restaurant is. From the minute you walk into this gorgeous restaurant you feel welcome and the ambiance is wonderful. The staff are wonderful and the owners the best in the business. Now to the most fantastic food we have eaten in a long time. The food was so fresh and the flavour to die for. Then to dessert the most delicious which left you wanting more.We will definitely back next time we are back in Tamworth. If you haven't been do yourself a favour and get there.

Situated in a restored historic inn in Tamworth this is a restaurant that knows about flavour, presentation and service. We tried the Guinness lamb curry pot pie, which was delicious, and the petit filet eye steak that exceeded expectations. The honeycomb creme brûlée for dessert was a great way to end the meal. The dishes were not only beautifully balanced for flavour but also visually enticing and the staff were attentive and fast. I will be returning to sample more.
