Contribute FeedbackThe reviews for the restaurant at Skylon Tower are mixed, with some criticizing the service, food quality, and management. However, many guests were impressed by the breathtaking views of Niagara Falls, attentive service, and delicious food. The revolving dining room offers a unique experience and is worth the price for many visitors. Families with children also appreciated the kids' menu and generous portion sizes. Overall, the dining experience at Skylon Tower's restaurant is recommended for those looking to enjoy a memorable meal with stunning views of the falls.
What a fantastic way to see Niagara Falls - both the Canadian Falls and the American Falls! We made a reservation about an hour before sunset ... so we could see everything in the daylight as well as at night ... the Falls are spectacular lit up at night. Surprisingly, the Food was great. We truly enjoyed our meals .... we went as five family members and really enjoyed the French Onion Soup, the Caesar salad, the Vegetable Medley (basically an Eggplant Parmigiani), the Chilean Sea Bass and the Seafood Pasta .... no one had room for dessert. What a beautiful backdrop for dinner! I would consider this restaurant as Casual-Find Dining.
We booked for 8pm so we could see the dusk & lights come on in the falls. We were amazingly lucky and we were placed at the front row in a table for 4 (after asking). It faced the falls and revolves every hour so we quickly realised we'd be facing them again at the 10pm fireworks show! View was even better than we expected and actually the setting was lovely too. Food was superb also although understandably expensive. Rib steak was enormous and best Ive ever had & kids shared the apple pie dessert which was the size of a small plate. The only down side was the service. We had a horrid officious waiter who ruined it by making us feel we were up against the clock. He barely had a word for us, and when he refilled the water it was so quick he poured it on the table every time. He made us feel we were in a fast food diner and time was money & almost rolled his eyes when we didnt order wine. He placed down the dessert menus and we hadn't even opened them when he asked us 20s later what we wanted. Same for the bill at the end of the night. It was laughably bad. We had to ask for the "tourist tax" to be removed, and he we were harried into paying & leaving. We left a basic tip only (he was lucky to get anything) and as we got up to leave he grabbed the bill and made a great show of looking at the tip in front of us as we were trying to move around him and leave the table. I must admit we felt quite justified & pleased as he gazed malevolently at us. Considering we were paying $500+ we expected a little more. My tip to him - if you're expecting a $80 tip make an effort to be nice
