Located at the end of the street past the hotels, we decided to try the wines from the monastery before heading to this restaurant for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot and flavorful dishes such as pork bulgogi, belly, chicken teriyaki, and other items we tried with friends. We were impressed and will definitely be returning in the future. It is now on our list of must-visit restaurants for next time. View all feedback.
What Cindy K dislikes about Korean Garden:
I was there with a few friends for dinner a couple of weeks ago. We ordered the budaejigae and jaeyuk bokum (spicy fried pork). We got only two side dishes, o-daeng and kimchi. The food was all MSG and tasted horrible. For those who have not tried Korean food, this restaurant does not represent the real taste of Korean food. And the exorbitant price! The cashier asked where we were from, probably thinking we were tou... View all feedback.
I'm really glad my boyfriend introduced me to this place. I've eaten in MANY restaurants but this is somewhere I wouldn't have found on my own. The building isn't much to look at on the outside, but the food is amazing and very inexpensive. The food is much better than you would expect from such a tiny place. The bulgogi beef was VERY tender, you can tell it was marinated for a long time. The sauce was very flavourful as well. I recommend the bulgogi beef for your first visit (if you're a meat eater).
We decided to give this place a try based on reviews. But when we arrived, we had second thoughts. It appeared run-down and uncared for. The building integrity was dubious and there were a lot of weeds and peeling paint. We had a look at the menu and found it unattractive and over priced. We did not stay to find out if the food was palatable or not, because we would not have been happy to eat in those surroundings. There are a couple of other Korean places closer in to the Falls on Stanley Avenue, and we will try those instead.
Surprisingly yummy and satisfying . This place looks suspicious both from the outside and inside . The decor is straight out of the 70's with wood panel walls and green carpets but don't let the looks deceive you, the food is great . The prices are very reasonable . Just go . You'll enjoy it.
There were not many Asian food restaurants that were close to the hotel that we were staying in and we only stumbled across this one on Google. The decoration was... Not to my taste to say the least and seemed very dated. When we got there, I did have my reservations as there were no cars and the restaurant was empty (not to mention the lady took a few minutes getting out of a side room) and the kitchen lights were off. When the food arrived, this was a completely different story, I had a beef rice dish that was worth every penny, I even soaked the remaining sauce up with the rice that was there. Both my parents are very picky with what they eat and even they really enjoyed the food.Overall, despite my initial impressions, I was more upset that the restaurant was not open the next day.
Food was just ok. The colour is not what I'm used to coming from toronto. Price was ok. When we arrived we found that they were just opening. This was 12:30pm. And we were the first customers. Overall the experience was ok. Not sure how they do on the weekday but the dining area seems quite large. And niagara scene in the fall isnt hot as it is in summer.
