This is the real traditional style that you think of with a good curry. Great flavour, real chilli, simple and effective. My go-to is the chicken jalfrezi which always hits the spot, although I've ordered the beef vindaloo and rogan josh also which has great flavour and good spice. One other handy thing about this place is it's open until 1am most nights of the week and they deliver. I don't know why this is marked a... View all feedback.
What Jim C doesn't like about Tandoori Hut:
The food served is good. We had a variety of meals and each one was enjoyable. Although I don't think the lamb shanks were anything special. Maybe stick to the Indian dishes. But the service and the time taken to get the meal left a lot to be desired, especially considering the restaurant was empty when we arrived. We thought it was odd this place was empty when all the other restaurants were doing a great trade and... View all feedback.
Tandoori Hut in Sydney is a good restaurant where we had dinner.<br/ <br/ We ordered<br/ *dal makhani<br/ *jeera aloo<br/ *malai kofta<br/ *chana masala<br/ *garlic naan<br/ *tandoori roti<br/ *biryani<br/ <br/ The taste was average but the staff is humble enough to serve you at their best.
Probably the most underestimated restaurant in Newtown. From the outside it looks drab and dated.. inside there are old pictures of the Pakistani cricket team along with some signed memorabilia. But gimmicks aside these make fantastic curries and one of the best biryanis in town.Super friendly family run business.
GREAT tasting food. And there is no hassle in ordering off the menu items such as onion bhaji. I highly recommend the PANEER MAKHANI it's a vegetarian butter chicken where the chicken is replaced by paneer cheese. (Also off the menu)<br/ <br/ Keep in mind, home deliveries can take 1 2 hours in my experience (I only live 1KM away) and pick up times are always quoted as 20mins when in actual fact it can be 40. My advice: double the time they say. But it's worth the wait!
The place is not fancy but the food is spot on! The tandoori entree is one of a kind and is a must try dish, I also highly recommend the Paneer makhni and Karahi chicken. The restaurant is also open late on the weekends although the service can be slow at times. Don't forget to try the sweet paan it's a great way to finish up a fantastic meal
Hello amazing dinner! I came here on a friend recommendation and it certainly didn't disappoint. The lovely Chef offered to cook me Butter Chicken after I enquired, which was not on the menu. This dish is amazing! The entrees, amazing, customer service, amazing. Keep up being amazing.
