"A hole in the wall gem. Come to this restaurant if your in the Newport News area. The food presentation 10/10 taste 10/10 the China 10/10. You will not regret it, been here twice for Mothers day and my bday both times food was amazing. The waitress are great too no complaints. Also a plus the owner himself is a very friendly welcoming guy he will talk to you greet you at the door walk you out. Overall a great spot 5 ???? easy"

"I have eaten Rocky Mount BBQ from the time I was little, it has always been good homemade southern food! Today I ordered the fried fish sandwich and wow it is so tasty! Its very moist, cooked to a nice golden color, and the flavor of the fish is awesome especially since it’s flounder! I had an order of the crinkle cut fries and they are cooked perfectly as well, not too soft and not to crispy, JUST RIGHT! I recommend all the food, especially the chopped bbq because I love vinegar, but when I want something different from a bbq place the fish sandwich is my go to!"

"You could easily overlook this place, but seriously don't!! Food and staff were so amazing and really helped me find a dish I could eat, as I'm a vegetarian and I have celiacs. I will definitely be back again and again! The kimchi was top notch! I ordered 3 different ones to take home, best I've had since moving from NY! When my meal was brought out it was still sizzling in the pot and the rice was so perfectly chewy and crispy at the same time! And the egg? The egg was cooked perfectly! The food was fresh and flavorful! I just can't say enough positive things about this restaurant or it's staff! The atmosphere was also great, felt relaxed and homey, someplace you'd only take people you really wanted to share a truly great dining experience with!"

"They have funnel cake Fries ??! I smelled them when I got out of the car. I couldn't believe it. They have added to their desert menu. I always get the Bar-B-Que Platter. Enough to eat and take home. Footlongs and hotdogs can be deep fried too. Just found that out when someone call in the order.
