Contribute FeedbackThe Rusty Pelican, part of a national restaurant conglomerate, was overall disappointing according to multiple reviews. The restaurant seemed outdated and worn, with sub-par food quality. Customers complained about undercooked fish, unsatisfactory dishes, and slow service. However, some positive aspects were highlighted, such as the incredible garlic bread, beautiful location overlooking the water, and friendly waitstaff. Guests enjoyed the view, varied menu, and tasty food, but ultimately the general consensus was that the restaurant fell short of expectations.
Great view… a tad out dated with a uninteresting menu. Not a lot of choices for a small menu not inspired! This was Newport ALOT of competition. Loved the Marina Del Rey location once in the day!
Sit on the back patio. Gaze out at the water and relax. Buy yourself a fancy drink or tall beer. Order the chef special of the day because that's probably going to be the freshest thing on the menu. It's freakin' Rusty Pelican. Everything here is good. If you know, you know. And if you don't know, you should treat yourself and give it a try.
Food was good but after the reviews I read, I was expecting better
The place is beautiful, the food was excellent and delicious, the person who served us was very friendly, good prices, the menu was very varied, incredible place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I've been a rusty Pelican fan for 25 years. Our waitress wasn't the best yet but in her defense she was very young and new on the job. I'm sure that if I go back in a couple of months she will be excellent. Enjoy.
