Sushi Castle - Newcastle

Sushi Castle is always good and the service is great. The young couple that own the restaurant are great hosts and always there. The food is fresh and although it's licensed we have always been able to take our own beer & wine.

We visited here just for a quick meal before a civic theatre show. It was wednesday but there were a fair few tables being used and plenty of take out. Its a smallish place, with moderate decor. But the food was great. Whilst we didn't order a large sushi platter we saw others did and it looked very good. We shared some entrees and then had some sushi and udon noodles. All very flavoursome and fresh. Service was good. Prices ok. One downside was the appalling music playing. Sounded like gangster rap. And their bluetooth wasnt very good. And it was loud. Background music should be just that. Anyway, for a quick pre show feed I would recommend

As a sushi fan, I recently had lunch here on a business trip. I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the sushi on offer. Fast healthy lunch -worth a visit

For a group of 6 on a quite Monday night with the restaurant mainly to ourselves we received lots of smiles and were allowed to take our time. I am not a Japanese cuisine expert but the food was excellent and I experienced some new flavours. Would go again.

We had been looking for a Japanese restaurant to claim as our 'regular' for some time. We found it!! We went early on a Saturday night. The menu was interesting with some different dishes.We were all starving so ordered up big. Every meal was great! The tempura was the best I've had in a very long time - hot, light and crisp. Udon noodles were also delicious. We were in and out before they filled up, but we were told they were quite busy.We'll be back!
