Contribute FeedbackOverall, the restaurant had mixed reviews. While some customers were impressed with the service and attention to detail, others had disappointing experiences such as embarrassing situations with reservations or receiving a subpar dish. The food received mixed feedback, with some praising the delicious dishes like the linguine alle vongole and cakes, while others were underwhelmed by the portion size or quality of certain dishes. The outdoor dining experience was generally well-received, with customers appreciating the cleanliness and privacy of the space. Despite some shortcomings, many customers expressed their love for the restaurant and its old-world European cafe vibes. It seems that the restaurant may have some areas for improvement, but still has its loyal fans who will return for their favorite dishes.
We ordered the Principessa cake, which consisted of lemon sponge layered between vanilla pastry cream and whipped cream, topped with almond marzipan. It was light and delicious. The flavors really came alive when we paired it with cups of black tea. We also tried the Sant Ambroseus cake, a light chocolate mousse cake with layers of moist chocolate almond sponge soaked in a light rum syrup, topped with chocolate granules and caramelized cocoa nibs. It was both delicate and rich, with an excellent chocolate taste that was complemented by the coffee and rum syrup. Both cakes came in a charming bag and were carefully packed in adorable boxes, making them a perfect gift for a special occasion or a treat for yourself. I'm excited to try their main dishes and appetizers next time!
Wow! They gave me a half-inch piece of ossobuco covered in fat. They should have fed this to the cats in the back! Usually, the ossobuco is delicious, but this was unacceptable. Check the quality control! There is no excuse for this.
Who doesn't want to eat a $59 steak? Vegans, people who like to eat even more expensive steaks and other cows. All the food I enjoyed was a heavy but
Came for dinner here with my girlfriends because one of them really likes this place.
If I lived in NYC and could afford it, I think I would come here regularlySant Ambroeus is charming, romantic and delicious.
