★ 4.4 / 5 from 2029 reviews

Prune is a cozy cafe that has been around for 21 years, offering elevated brunch food in a charming atmosphere. The menu is diverse, although some dishes were under seasoned and disappointing. Service was standard, but nothing exceptional. The eggs benedict and Monte Cristo were highlights, while the hamburger was especially delicious despite being slightly salty. The cafe lacks espresso-based coffee options, but overall, the food and service were enjoyable. Despite some mixed reviews, Prune remains a popular spot with a loyal following, and many diners look forward to returning to experience the big flavors and top-notch service again.

Cute place and high quality food. The menu options are solid. The only negative is that, although they do brunch and open at 10am, there's no espresso based coffee.

Mediocre food. Slow service. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Don't know why they have good reviews. Tried the Dutch pancake which looked amazing but was too dry. The huevos rancheros was disappointing too. The eggs and the sauce were good but the dish was very badly prepared with some bland black beans, a slice of avocado and a few dry tortilla chips all tossed onto the side of the plate. There were no lines at 2.30pm on Sunday. Wouldn't go back or recommend to

Haven?t dined here, but I just read ?The Kitchen is Closed?, an essay published on New York Times by the owner of Prune. I sincerely wish it will reopen. We?ve made it through COVID and one day I would really like to taste the foods here.

A cute cafe serving elevated brunch food. I'm surprised the cafe has been around for 21 years and how did I just dined here, I don't know. To start, I love the decor of the place, from the subway tiled floor to the cozy table tops. The staff were great and attentive. They are strict about all the parties being present to be able to sit down, which is understandable since the cafe is tiny. My suggestion is to dine as they open for brunch, or to the end of brunch time

We had the eggs benedict and the Monte Cristo both were incredible. Probably my favorite hash browns I've ever eaten. I liked the ****'s but my boyfriend wasn't crazy about them. Hostess was so sweet and attentive given the amount of people she was trying to seat!
