What JackieH likes about Melba's:
This was my first visit to Melba's. The food was excellent and seasoned appropriately. It was my birthday. The staff sang happy birthday and provided a delicious slice of carrot cake. The server was provided exceptional customer service. Overall excellent experience. I would dine there again when back in NYC. read more.

I am a long time customer and was very disappointed with the food. The grits were runny and I need a spoon to eat them. The catfish was not fresh. It was frozen. The restuarant smelled like mildew. The server was accommodating which was the only plus. Overall, I’m sad to say that after dining there for over 10 years I will no longer patronize this establishment.
