Definition of 'greasy spoon '! A coffee shop with aging decor, lots of nostalgia and tongue-in-cheek charm. Great staff, food just as greasy and yummy as they promise with their slogan: 'Raising New Yorkers ' cholesterol levels since 1929. ' Classic, perfect to take out of town friends. View all feedback.

What Evie Krislov dislikes about Eisenberg's Sandwich Shop:
It’s not Eisenberg’s, it’s S&P and it’s veryyyy expensive. The menu online is wrong because it’s from Eisenberg’s not S&P. They don’t have brisket. Cherry like Ricky $5, matzo ball soup, $8 or 9, just very expensive but good food. Carrot cake is excellent. Very crowded inside but bar seating is fun. View all feedback.

Great little deli spot near the flat iron! Love the sandwiches!

My new go-to for pastrami. As good or better than Katz's but no fuss: no tourists, no multiple lines, no weird ticket and checkout situation. Plus, you have the option of less or more meat and the bigger option is less expensive than Katz's. Also

The vibe of the places is cute and feels homey. The staff is attentive and you don’t have to wait much to get your order. The food is very good and the price is fair for what you get. The way their fries are is a nice touch.

Excellent pastrami sandwich, in a typical place, rare in NY. However $18 per sandwich… Still worth doing, refreshing!
