★ 4.2 / 5 from 1751 reviews

Chais Delachaise offers a diverse dining experience with mixed reviews. While some diners praised the excellent steak and atmosphere, others found the food to be bland and the service lacking. Issues with the cheese board, sliders, and overcharging were highlighted by some customers. On the other hand, positive comments were made about the top-notch service, delicious food options like frog legs and beignets, and the warm bistro atmosphere. The friendly staff, dog-friendly terrace, and good value for the money were also noted as highlights of the restaurant. Overall, Chais Delachaise seems to have a unique charm that appeals to different tastes and preferences.

Low key evening here with my friends for my birthday. We had a great time. Food, drinks, atmosphere, service were all A+.

Went for Sunday brunch. The service was good at first when we were the only table, but as more people sat, it seemed like there was one employee serving all the tables and tending the bar at the same time. He seemed to be handling it well enough under the circumstances and stayed friendly. They were out of my first choice order, they were out of what I ordered next, and then out of the jam when I ordered the brioche. It was almost funny. My food was alright, just that everything was dry. Overall probably won’t return for brunch- pretty small menu even if they weren’t out of everything. I’d try again for dinner though.

There was a little chill in the air, despite reservations, they placed us right by door, every time waiters went outside, they left open causing my girlfriend to cringe! Every thing on menu sounds great but they’re out of shrimp. Food was tasteful, service was novice, they were definitely rushing and nervous, but made effort. Still had a good time.

After making a reservation a week in advance, we were offered a table either in the doorway up against the hostess podium, a small round table with one side seating near the bar aisle or a table outside in the covered patio area. While the cheese board was good, the bread was not fully cut and by the time the knife came we were nearly finished. The waiter mixed up the steaks (their most expensive item) and was unsure of how each of us had ordered. We had to switch food after checking the steak ourselves. The food quality, taste, presentation and environment was not representative of the price. The outdoor seating was essentially a tarp covered patio with a fireplace video on a big screen television (which buffered at times) and two heaters in the corners emitting a red light over the entire area with some places much warmer than others. After seeing other guests vacate their table, we decided to move closer to the heaters. Overall a disappointing experience for the price point and the reservation planned well in advance.

Absolutely lovely early lunch/late brunch. Normally it's crowded here, but it was a cold rainy day, so it was blissfully quiet.
