Additionally, the knives provided at the table did not have serrated edges, making it difficult for my husband to cut his lamb off the bone. Fortunately, I had a delicious piece of halibut that I enjoyed without any issues. View all feedback.
What Freya Matthews dislikes about The Mill at Gordleton:
I rang the manager 31/10/20 and voiced my disappointment. Food poor and not good value. The ambience was really bad, also not amused being told, pick a table especially in COVID 19 climate. He did not accompany me to the table. This meal was a special treat for my partner. View all feedback.
During our visit to England, our cousin brought us to this restaurant to eat. The food and service were wonderful, and the surroundings were gorgeous.
Good location nice food but definitely not value for money a burger and just a few chips over £17 daylite robbery you would expect more on your plate. Couldn’t see the point of the brunch menu served after 11am very eggy!
We stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast. We ate here the first night and the three courses we had were delicious and well executed and very quick service. The house coctails were well made and delicious. We received a very warm welcome from the whole team and they were super dog friendly. We found the pub to have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and warm, and had great facilities. We could not fault our stay here. Highly recommended! Thank you.
We stayed for three nights in room 8 which is a suite. It was very comfortable with a separate sitting room, lovely comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. We ate in the pub on 2 nights and the food was excellent. Service also excellent, all staff were attentive and super helpful. Beautiful setting by the river which was lovely despite the constant rain!
Beautiful old pub with garden, right by the river: lovely spot, and very characterful inside. Sunday roast pork was very good, too. My only small criticisms are that it was really draughty inside (maybe we were unlucky with our table: it was a stormy February day) and the only non-meat Sunday lunch option turned out to contain dairy, so no ‘roast’ option for my dairy-free daughter.
