Was Michael Schuett at Friar Tuck's Bar a mag?
We had a great New Years Eve dinner with my wife and 3 children. The ambience was great in the restaurant with just a faint sound of live music came in from the bar area. The owner of the restaurant greeted us at our table, and took time to have genuine conversation with our kiddos (even came by and gave a complimentary pour of wine later on! . The fondue was fun to do with the kids and it was fantastic. Our steaks w... View all feedback.

What david parry dislikes about Friar Tuck's Bar:
We made a reservation for Tuesday, February 4th for my wife's birthday. All seemed ok and normal until we arrived. Upon arrival, we were told that the restaurant was closed, as it had been the previous night. We could settle to eat a very limited menu in the bar, if we decided that is what we wanted to choose from. I realize that the restaurant industry is still reeling from the challenges brought about by Covid, but... View all feedback.

Service was excellent. We ordered educational hope to try a variety of different articles. The cheese fondue and the French onion soup were good! Unfortunately, the most important courses (primary rib and lobster tail) were up to our expectations that both came out tepid and there was a piece of plastic on the steak plate. The best part of the meal was the chocolate fondue for dessert and drinks. The price we paid $240 was not worth the food experience we have.

I love the fact we can go and be social with friends or family in a beautiful local restaurant. You personally agree to waive “your risk” to not likely but possibly contracting COVID when you pass through the door with the sign posted on the door BEFORE you enter! The masked service personnel is reminder enough. Dinner and service was top notch and I am happy to support this local business! The pleasure by far outweighed the risk! Don’t stop living your life And enjoying your freedom to do so

We have always enjoyed our experience at Friar Tuck's. This was our first visit this year.I made our reservations in advance and once again we are placed right by the kitchen. Staff bouncing back and forth making our dinner less then enjoyable. The bread sticks where stale, forgot the ice tea we ordered and forgot our salads. The water girl, and the cocktail server were delightful! We realize that these are trying times to be in the restaurant business but with less people in the restaurant serve should be spot on. We did not ask to be moved as we where trying to be cooperative during Covid protocol! You really should seek a better choice of starter then bread sticks. A nice basket of bread would be a much better option. Also why are baked potatoes becoming such a difficult item to order? We will return but hoping for better service and a different sitting location. Last year when I called to request specific sitting location I was told by a very rude reception person that I could ask for specific sitting. We are loyal guests at the Broad St. Inn this is our year with them. We have many out of town guests that join us for our getaway weekend Friar Tucks is always on evening activity. Please take this a constructive criticism not a rant. Our last few visits have been challenging with your service. Thank you

We had the BEST time at Friar Tuck's. The restaurant is beautiful, both inviting and elegant. The staff is fantastic. We had both Tylers and Lani serving us and they worked seamlessly as a team to make sure our food came out at the right time, in the right order, and our table was clean and water glasses always filled. It was a special night as we were celebrating a birthday and felt like honored guests. The food was excellent we had all three fondues with every meat option! After dinner, we enjoyed the talented guitar player in the bar with our dessert and a whiskey flight. The entire evening was taken to the next level by the father and son owners, Ken and Chad, who chatted with us and made us feel like we were in their own home! We will definitely be regulars from now on
