"Nice coffee shop. Vegan options need improvement. I had the Bruschetta without Feta. This consisted of two very small pieces of toast, whole large cherry tomatoes, rocket with Balsamico vinegar. Serving large whole cherry tomatoes made the dish difficult to eat, no substitute for the feta offered. It always frustrates me when things are omitted to make something vegan (vegan option offered), and then have to pay extra if a substitute for the non- vegan (feta) option as add mushrooms or avocado. Quinoa salad was ok, the roasted sweet potato could have been boiled for 10mins longer so it was not crispy."

"A big thanks to Lee-Ann and Andrew for an absolutely delicious hamper for our weekend away!! With some of our favourites of the charcuterie and the vegetarian platters, and gravlax. We were also delighted with their suggestions of the smoked trout, as well as the ash brie and Cheshire cheese! Mmm making my mouth water again remembering it. Thx so much again!"

"The smoking masterclass with 3 course dinner was a divine experience of amazing food, engaging owners and a small group to make for a fun and pleasant evening. The meal started with a smoked scallop amuse bouche where we first saw the dinner party sized smoker in action, followed by some of Poachers own prosciutto paired with a smoked mozzarella, a few minutes more entertained with fillets of ocean trout smoked to perfection in front of us, finally rounded out by a smoked cream cheese cheesecake that delighted the palette. Matched wines (all Poachers own of course) rounded out a special meal. Worth the short drive out of Canberra, go as relaxed or dolled up as you like but go with an open mind to trying new flavours- you won't be disappointed. Because the restaurant was closed except for this group we had attentive but not hovering service and delightful conversation about the history of Poachers Pantry and the many and varied experiments with smoking over time."

"Thoroghly enjoyed my meal. Service was very good. Remade my coffee without fuss as the first one was too strong. Second coffee was perfect!! Thought they closed at 4pm but it was actually 3pm but they didn't rush us out the door on the dot of 3pm which was very nice of them. Will definately go back."

"On a Sunday Night, this quiet little town looks closed down but luckily the generic Chinese restaurant was open. But generic is far from what we were served! The mixed vegetables were cooked well and maintained that crunch and sweetness you'd expect. The ginger and shallot beef was also very tasty and tender. Followed by fried ice cream with topping not bad for $45. If you are struggling to find something decent to eat in Yass, this place definitely is worth the try."
