The Smoking Gun Cafe Takeaway & Catering

Tried fish, chips and potato scallops for the first time and were not disappointed. Good sized servings and tasty fish. We will be back.

I believe this place has the best burgers in town. I will wait up after night shift just to get one before I settle into bed. They have a great range, and you get what you pay for! Fresh & Flavoursome. I had their BBQ Pork & Slaw burger- AMAZING!! Am also a fan of their works beef burger.

You will be surprised to find not just good food but great options in this cafe located in Pioneer suburb Mt. Isa. They ranged from smoothies, salads, burgers, sandwiches, gourmet burgers & sandwiches, loaded fries (few options) to hearthy meals like wings, steak, ribs & fish!! Prices are very reasonable and they are really there serving good food for the community

I was baffled by the other gentleman's review and had to think if he was some sort of exceptional chef or the simple fact he just doesn't know food and didn't request or explain to the cafe and owners. I went and had a meal there and the burgers are phenomenal....everything is home made...even the mayonnaise...I know because I asked...and ingredients are fresh and delicious. For a small business operating in a rural community...the smoking gun is hands down fantastic with great service..and nothingin town comes close to comparing to their burgers (again I would know I lived there). So go and eat there!!! You won't be disappointed.

This has to be one of the worst offering of fish and chips I've been served in the last 5 months on the road. Large fillet of Barra fell apart. Burn marks on the batter. Both the Barra & the Spanish Mackerel were cooked to the point of being dry. The standard of the leathery potato scallops & the chips were in the same class. I can't comment on the Pizza's and/or the Burgers but I can only hope they are an improvement if you wish to eat here.
