Our morning had taken us to a number of picturesque villages, but as lunch approached none could accommodate us--they were full. Arriving back in Montignac, we saw the Bistrot and decided to try it. Friday night and although we couldn’t get a seat on the terrace we decided to sit in the empty restaurant....the first few starters we asked for on the menu were not available so we went straight to the mains and it was good French food nicely served and presented....the wine I also asked for wasn’t available either...but the waiter recommended something else which was very good anyway.puddings were also recommended.... read more.
