While the food received mixed reviews, the outstanding service and unique ambiance make it a worthwhile visit. Guests praised the attentive staff, complimentary breakfast, and relaxing common areas. The innkeeper, Nick, was particularly commended for his hospitality. The location is ideal for outdoor activities, with easy access to the mountains. Overall, The Inn is a hidden gem in a tranquil setting, perfect for a relaxing getaway or a culinary adventure in the heart of Vermont.
We were a group of 4 women travelling to leaf peep! We loved the ambiance of this charming Inn but unfortunately stayed during the time when dinner was unavailable. Although the hosts were helpful, we felt a bit abandoned during our visit. Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great value

We visited The Inn for a vacation during leaf peeping season in early October. It was our first time in the Montgomery area and we were welcomed by Nick and Portland. It quickly became clear to us that The Inn was a special place! The cozy lounge was filled with antique treasures, soft couches, and chairs, and the dining rooms and bar were inviting. Our room was adorned with rustic yet retro art and had a very comfortable bed. Jason, the talented chef and co-innkeeper with Nick, was passionate about his unique cooking style and shared his experiences with us. Our experience at The Inn was truly wonderful and we wish Nick, Jason, and Kinga all the best in the future. We look forward to returning to The Inn again! The rooms were comfortable, clean, and hospitable - kudos to The Inn! The food and drinks were top-notch with a homemade touch, earning a five-star rating.
This restaurant is a great place to disconnect and relax. The atmosphere is charming, laid back, and tranquil. The innkeepers are all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast served each morning is excellent. I highly recommend staying a night when the restaurant is open for a delicious meal. Holly also makes fantastic cocktails. One of the highlights of the hotel is the peaceful and quiet environment.
