W... read more What did I had for dinner. So Miso ramen and chicken kara age. Let’s start with the appetizer karaaege. Basic japanese dish that are supposed to be marinated. Well here they are not marinated (or maybe I didn’t really taste anything just covered in flour, deep fried that’s it. They will give you a side of Thai chilli sauce for dipping which ruins the overall taste and experience. The chicken karaage without the dipping sauce was bland and so basic. It should’ve came with japanese mayo or a Gyoza sauce, maybe we could salvage the taste of it. So do not order I repeat do not order it’s not worth $10. Let’s talk about the Miso ramen, ramen should be the star of the night, right?. The name of the restaurant has ramen attached to it after all, O M G ‍ the broth the noodles was below average. The noodles are comparable to instant noodles, nothing that will make you say ‘’ Alright! Alright, not too bad for the first couple of tastings. “ Well that is not the case. The chashu was a little bit on the chewy side, chashu should melt in your mouth( the proper way when you bite the pork it’s almost like you need to use a fork to cut the half portion of it. To me that is a fail . Now would I come back and recommend this place? Unfortunately I can’t recommend it. I’m sorry. The only reason I checked it out is because of the 600 people who reviewed this restaurant here on Google. Spend your money elsewhere. How about service? I went here around 6:30-ish pm so it wasn’t really that busy, 4-5 tables occupied one had a 5 top, one server working so she was by herself taking orders running food. Got served right away kitchen wasn’t that busy overall. Cinta Ria Malaysian restaurant 3 mins walk from here is low key exceptional place will be your alternative.
