Was User at Daniel Son a mag?
This is a terrific spot for brunch/breakfast/lunch or just a quick coffee. I have been coming here for a while and always had an excellent experience, and always great food and coffee. The decor is fab - my favourite part though are the staff members - always so welcoming. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Daniel Son:
After hearing several very positive reviews regarding this small, south east suburban cafe, Carole I decided to try it out for lunch, recently. We both tried the breakfast dishes consisting of poached eggs and accoutrements, chosen to suit each of our tastes. The coffee was OKService was quite slow and left much to be desired. This was disappointing considering it was lunchtime and people would want to get in and out... View all feedback.

Seem like a standard cafe. I just stopped for a take out coffee. Cakes looked good but wasn't tempted.

Warmly welcomed as we walked in. Greeted by a Bea selection of cakes & sweet treats. Excellent breakfast menu with interesting choices. Highly recommend the corn fritters with smoked salmon, avocado & beetroot pickle. The house made baked beans were delicious. Coffee was good. Staff excellent.

We both tried the breakfast dishes consisting of poached eggs and accoutrements, chosen to suit each of our tastes. The coffee was OKService was quite slow and left much to be desired. This was disappointing considering it was lunchtime and people would want to get in and out fairly quickly. Also, prices were expensive compared to other cafés of similar standard, this was disappointing.

This has quickly become a brunch favourite for us and is the best place to have coffees in Murrumbeena. Though I didn't have their Egyptian eggs or the Rambo burger this time around (both of which are amazing) we did have two different corn fritters. The first was the salmon, which was nicely balanced with sweet beetroot and the richer guacamole. The chili con carne was the second type served with corn fritter, mild and brimming with flavour, and served with two fried eggs. The staff are always very helpful and the place itself is simple and very casual --with exposed light bulbs and white-washed walls and ceilings. We love their generous servings for the price, their quick service, and would definitely continue to visit.
