Great Wok Restaurant - Miramichi

I ordered a combination plate with rice, beef broccoli, and a sweet and tangy sauce. Upon arriving, I noticed that the menu had some new additions, so I selected some of the new items. Due to COVID restrictions, they no longer offer a buffet. The owner had my order prepared as soon as I entered the restaurant. The beef broccoli was the best I've had by the river. I also tried some of their latest menu items.

Our family absolutely loves this local restaurant. We've tried Chinese food at many other places, including in China, and this restaurant still stands out as the best. We have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed. The prices are fair and the food is always served hot and delicious by a friendly and professional staff. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. While the service and atmosphere may be average, people come here for the amazing food. The buffet on Thursdays and Sundays is a big draw and it can get crowded, but the wait is definitely worth it.

I ordered rice to go and it was great. The reason for my review is that I believe the manager needs to improve their understanding and treatment of their staff. The employee gave me extra soy sauce even though the manager had told them not to. The manager also instructed the staff not to be kind to customers who were not nice to them. I hope the manager sees this feedback because they should not belittle their staff and the workers are not very friendly.

We stop here and love a firm Chinese kitchen. service is good and eating is very beneficial for the quality they receive.

Had items off the menu, fried rice which was fine, almond soo guy which had good batter but tasteless gravy, and Szechuan shrimp which was very bland, runny and had no heat, and only shrimp in the dish for We didn't eat the...shrimp dish, and complained to the waitress but her response was that others had complained about the heat so they now serve it mild (which was an understatement to us). When she relayed the message to the kitchen I could hear the cook yelling to the waitress about the past customers/complaints. The item wasn't discounted or removed from our bill and we were scolded for not ordering it spicy. Was an another underwhelming meal at what used to be considered the best Chinese restaurant in town.
