"We didn’t book, so was lucky to get the little nook in the corner around 5pm. Then they did get busy, but the main manager was efficient, she did kinda fly off mid service to our table, overall it was pretty good and we enjoyed the very very fast meal! Service: Dine in Price per person: NZ$30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Burger"

"Delicious food!! Delighted to find this addition to the Methven restaurants. Fab Donburi, Teriyaki chicken, the pork belly was lush tofu option looked good too. It’s a cute little restaurant and they do takeaway. High recommended. Vegetarian options: Fried tofu option for all the main dishes, plus veggie dumplings. Kid friendliness: They were very happy to accomodate our fussy child, with plain rice, and putting mayo only on half the chicken and pork. Thank you!"

"The best dumplings I have had in a while. The filling is juicy with a lot of flavour. It’s a food truck in Methven. Look out for a purple food truck that’s open just a couple days a week! They also have some yummy ramen/noodle soup options. Perfect for when the winds pick up. Loved it!"

"We are regular visitors to Shackleton's, and it never disappoints! The wine and drink list is extensive, as is the menu. Our highlights include the arancini ball starter, the lamb rump, and the salmon. We have also had delicious pizzas here, both dine in and takeaway. The salmon pizza and pulled pork pizzas were our favourites. A bonus, Shackleton's are also part of the First Table promotion. Great service, good for kids too, warm and cosy atmosphere and breathtaking views of the mountains."
