We have not dined at Athenos for at least 5 years. We moved from the Garland/Mesquite area in 2014. We dined on Saturday, December 8th in route to a party in Mesquite. Since we remembered it was one of our favorite Greek restaurant we agreed to dine there that evening. The food is still as delicious and fresh as we remembered. The owner is as gracious as before. Very unhappy with my order. We paid $57 for the food pictured. Without a doubt the skinniest spanakopita I've ever seen. The $17 gyro meal is the biggest surprise. There was less than 2oz of meat and not even enough French fries to beef up the appearance of food! I figured for almost $9 the hummus appetizer would be more than 2 oz but I guess not.
