Was User at Pj's Mexican Kitchen a mag?
Went to PJ's Mexican with friends on Saturday night before going to see a musical at Darebin Arts Centre. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Decor was interesting - in a good way - and a good talking point. Food was reasonably priced and extremely good. I enjoyed the Fajitas with chicken and they were delicious. We will be back hopefully very soon. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Pj's Mexican Kitchen:
We had high hopes for ordering takeout from PJ's Mexican after looking at the menu, but unfortunately, we found the food to be average and lacking excitement. The staff, however, were efficient. View all feedback.

We ordered nachos, tacos, and burritos at this restaurant. The nachos tasted like store-bought chips with melted cheese on top. The beef tacos had tortillas that seemed to be from a pre-packaged brand and were not cooked properly. The beef was bland and did not have any authentic Mexican seasoning. The burritos only had beans from a can and some questionable "meat" inside a tortilla, lacking any other fillings expected in a true burrito. Overall, the experience felt like eating at a fast food restaurant in an airport. We were very disappointed, especially after spending over $80. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I highly recommend this fantastic Mexican restaurant in Northcote, Victoria. The food and drinks are amazing, and I have dined here many times over the years. Located on High Street, it is a must-visit spot. Don't miss out!

During the recent covid lockdown I ordered take out on several occasions just to get out of the house. I ordered the beef and chicken combinations which I enjoyed. With the restrictions lifted, I had a sat down meal. It felt great sitting down to eat and having a nice glass of wine.

Traditional tex-mex at its best, sadly a lot of Mexican restaurants have gone away from what was the original concept of Tex-mex PJ’s doesn’t mess with the formula. Good size portions, tasty meals nice ambiance, we travel from the other side of town to visit, friendly staff and moderate pricing all add up to a great experience.
