Rustic Kitchen and Bar - Medicine Hat

Food make from scratch, in-house, Great service. Fresh foccaccia, awesome crispy brussels sprouts, entrees were awesome. Beef, lamb, and salmon were very very good. I would recommend this restaurant if you visit Medicine Hat.

Another excellent dinner. From the Rustic Burgers to the Salmon Special, it was all good food that we enjoyed. We look forward to our next time out there.

Staff were awesome loved Heather she was great our dinner was fantastic my husband had the seafood pasta, I had the pork schnitzel and spezla delicious. Would recommend it to everyone ??

Lovely decor, friendly staff, terrible food. Complimentary bread too salty. Scallops Bacon scallops tasted like jelly, bacon was fatty and rancid tasting. Chicken and Mushroom Spätzle super salty and greasy. Prime Alberta Sirloin the outside was medium well as ordered, the centre was blood red and tough. Would not recommend. Will be going back to the Beefeater for our fine dining as they never disappoint and the food is fabulous.

Yeah, I can't say that I'll recommend or be going back to this place. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. Pros: the burger was great but we both agreed the fries were mediocre at best. I had the Mac and cheese and it was salty. I LIKE salty but even for me it got too salty at the end. And while likely not an issue for other/most people but I should have asked what type of cheeses were in the 5 cheeses and turns out there is one I really don't like in there and it was good bite, good bite, cheese I don't like bite. So just couldn't get into it. The atmosphere was lovely and service was friendly and efficient but then someone had a fish dish that frankly stunk. We were happy to leave.
