Was User at Kiu Japanese Restaurant a mag?
Great food, great service, awesome relaxed atmosphere. Went here with friends after seeing a movie. Asked the server many questions about dishes we were not familiar with, he answered all questions with a gracious and patient smile. Drinks were great as well. Would definitely recommend. I had the beef tataki and it was big on taste (and presentation), small on portion size. View all feedback.

Ordered sushi and sashimi. Recommended stuffed chicken wings, beef and salmon carpaccio. Nice presentation and good service. Especially there are not many good Japanese restaurant in Markham.

Kiu serves Japanese style ramen noodle dishes with various soup base choices to decide on, plus vegetarian options. Delicate , subtle to spicy flavour plus the option to add additional toppings to enhance your meal. Basic ramen prices are reasonable compared to some other places ($11-16). They also offer other appetizers seafood, sushi, don (rice) bowls at lunch. Attentive service, large airy room on the second floor in the new Cineplex building in Markham. Lots of parking available.

Kiu is co owned by the owner of Ramen Isshin. You will basically find all the offerings of Ramen Isshin at Kiu as well. But the ramen noodle in Kiu was much better than Isshin.Grilled lamb Chops and Ebi Mayo (deep fried tiger prawn with tempura batter and tossed with spicy yuzu mayo) was another good choice in the restaurant.Their sashimi was really fresh, the only disappoint was the sushi rice was not that good, and you know about the chief was not a japanese.
