Hamada Sushi - Maple Ridge

We ordered take out and were very disappointed with what we got for what we paid. my sunomono leaked in the bag and I ended up with a lot of the liquid all over my table when we were unpacking our food. The rolls didn't look like they were rolled very tight and most of them fell apart when we picked them up. We ordered the Tuna Takaki and got enough of the sauce for 2 maybe 3 of the pieces. Must say that we won't be ordering from here again. We used to eat here every Friday, but started ordering from somewhere closer to home. The sushi has really gone down hill from the last time we were there.

The spicy tuna sashimi was beautifully cut and fresh tasting. Very delicious, they also have Korean fried chicken and a half order is a perfect portion. If you get a chance stop in a support this local restaurant. I believe it's family run and they were very kind and prompt service. Will definitely go again.

Seafood yaki udon tasted of old seafood, especially the chalky and bitter tasting muscles. The sauce was overly heavy and didn't remind me of anything remotely Japanese.

Absolutely the worst sushi I have ever had!! How can sushi be greasy? Go to Hamada and you will find out!! So disgusting I couldn't even finish it. If you want any service you will have to get up and go find your server because they aren't coming to you. Worst food and worst service. I would give a negative point score if it was possible. Yuck!!

I have eaten here for at least 14 years in that time there simple resteraunt has doubled in size and at least ten competitors have come and gone. They have a very busy take out business. The service is very fast and gracious would never go anywhere else have tried others in maple ridge but always end up back here. The menu is extensive and there lunch specials are Very reasonable. Always willing to help you choose and explain the menu.
