Briarhurst Manor offers a unique dining experience with its beautiful ambiance and a menu that ranges from simple fish and chips to gourmet elk tenderloin. While the food holds potential, service issues frequently overshadow it; patrons report slow, inattentive staff and billing discrepancies. The venue's charm and historical décor transport diners to a different era, yet logistical challenges, such as difficult parking and unclear signage, hinder accessibility. Guests appreciate the creativity of the dishes but encounter inconsistencies in quality, contributing to a divided perception of this once-beloved establishment. Improvement is essential for a return to form.

Food was great. Steak grilled to a perfect medium rare (a rare experience at most restaurants). Scallop risotto was also good. The Amuse Bousch was a crusted green tomato that was amazing! Intermezzo was a mango sherbet with a strawberry slice--nice touch! We've had differing experiences over the last several years at Briar Hurst Manor. Still a bit expensive, but they have added some lower priced entree options. The food tonight was encouraging, hope they continue.

Went there for my wife's birthday and we were delighted. The food was excellent and the ambiance was charming. My wife said that her martini was the best she had ever had. The only issue was that the place was mostly emptyso let's get the wod out. The Briarhurst iis open and the food is great.

Wonderful place but there are some issues. The parking lot needs lights for safety and the entrance is hard to find. The menu shifts from simple fish and chips to exotic elk tenderloin.

We always plan our wedding anniversary dinner at The Briarhurst. After 35 wedding anniversary visits (the first 14 we lived elsewhere), the same high-standards exist. For our 48th we had great food, great atmosphere, and great service as always. Hopefully our 49th and 50th will be just as exciting and rewarding. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

It had been a while since we last visited Briarhurst, and it will be a long time before we go back. We decided to go early in the evening after seeing a Facebook post about early bird specials starting on March 7. However, when we inquired about the special, the waitress informed us that it was not available on weekends, even though it was a Friday. The food was mediocre at best, with my wife's couscous lacking the proper texture and my steak being the only dish that was cooked well and flavorful. As a gesture for celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary, $25 was deducted from our bill. Upon returning home, my wife received an email (from their standard mailing list) asking for feedback on ways to improve the Briarhurst. She highlighted issues such as poor signage, inadequate lighting in the parking lot, and our overall disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, over the years, Briarhurst has declined in quality. Despite having brought many groups there and being guests ourselves, we can no longer recommend Briarhurst Manor to others.
