Excellent French restaurant with great location by the lake and beautiful indoor setting. The bar area is always busy. We've tried the oysters, tuna, steak frites, wood roasted chicken breast and Moules Frites, everything was wonderful. Dessert is exceptional too, highly recommend the deconstructed creme brulee with blueberry sorbet, it's perfection. Service always top notch! View all feedback.

What Candace Raynor dislikes about Sardine:
Dinner was yummy. However it arrived within minutes of ordering. Caesar was really bland and awful and also arrived to quickly. I like to enjoy my meal and experience, this restaurant doesn't want to let you. The mcdonalds of gourmet View all feedback.

Great atmosphere, service and eating with sea and outside seat as option. we were here earlier, but this time was for Sunday brunch and started with a tasting tablet from oysters and a roasted beet salad. the oysters are some of the best I had in the middle west. I had a lamb dish and my wife had crabcake, both came with casual eggs and were very good! my lamb dish included termine fresh sprouts, snowbows and red lens wash. it had a healthy part of the meat, but some of it was a little chewing/fat for my taste, still the aromen were excellent. we finished cappuccino and baked. in any case one of our favorite places we would recommend to visit other madison...read more

Our evening club group has decided to taste sardine for our eating in a february. I heard it was amazing so I had high expectations the place was huge. many patrons; the personal dared. the ambiente was definitiw raised. our waitress came by to take our drink order. there was a decent wine list and a cocktail menu, but I was in the mood for a **** mary. our waitress brought our drinks and let us go through the dinner menus. I didn't feel hurried here. they seemed to expect us to take time. the **** was not spicy enough for my taste, but in general everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks our waitress returned and told us about the eating specialties. I...read more

Sardine is a main thing for my family when it comes to brunch in madison. on our last trip there I tried for the first time a drink they call bulletproof. it has dishes of espresso, cold brew coffee, chocolate and mandel milk. as someone whose not a big almond milk fan, this drink is now considered to be taken. my main meal was a classic croque madame beautifully hampered and rodeur it was fantastic. my professional tip is no matter what their order is sure to get a side of kitschigen gänsen. they should not be overlooked.

Might be my favorite restaurant ever. In any country. I can't say enough great things about Sardine. We no longer live in Madison, but Sardine was a weekly favorite of ours and they never disappointed. Everything is so darn amazing. If they ever have the cassoulet--try it and your life will never be the same. Great cocktails, fantastic wait staff, and the food is perfectly executed every time. We'll be back, Sardine.
