Contribute FeedbackThe Eagle is a popular restaurant known for its delicious fried chicken and great beer options, but recent reviews have been mixed. Some customers have complained of slow service, cold food, and missing items. However, others have had a wonderful experience with attentive servers, fantastic food, and tasty cocktails. Overall, the general consensus is that The Eagle is worth a visit for its unique atmosphere and flavorful dishes, despite some occasional setbacks.
Everything I had heard about the original location of The Eagle in Over the Rhine, Cincinnati, applies to their Louisville location.
Super nice wrap around bar, plenty of seating, outside sitting/eating/drinking areaPlenty of food and beer/etc selection.
I went into my 1st visit to The Eagle with a ton of hype and high expectations from all the reviews I had seen/heard.
Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water.
Great staff friendly fast service great location the drinks were just right
