It is 8 years since I visited this gastropub and it has considerably improved. We booked lunch on New Years Eve with roasts. You can also pre-order whole chickens and the staff will email you beforehand with the menu. In fact I had standard roast beef and it was anything but standard being served in large quantities with succulent potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding. What a disappointment! Have waited for years to try the Drapers Arms Sunday roast, but it was such a let down. The service was very slow, the beef arrived raw and had to be sent back (it then came back cooked a bit more but with a nasty oily taste), the roast potatoes were dry and the carrots were undercooked and poorly prepared.
