Since this location opened, it has been great service, and the food is as usual fantastic. I'm so happy that there is a location in London. The last visit to get take out, the staff member completely ignored me, walked passed me & greeted the people behind me...not knowing they were my family....so no tip given this visit. What User doesn't like about Nandos:
Had the opportunity to go to Nandos when in South Africa. I was quite disappointed by the size of the portions at this location and the overall service. I don't suspect I will return to this location in the future. View all feedback.
We decided to try Nandos since we had a coupon from the mail shortly after they opened at their current location. I had ordered take-out 45 minutes ahead of time based on a friend's report of having to wait several minutes for his pick up order despite ordering well ahead of time. Nevertheless, my order was not ready when I arrived, and it took another 15 minutes before it was! (I am willing to accept this as a result of relatively new staff at a recently opened location) My wife liked the peri peri flavour more than the rest of us did. Like some other reviews, the fries were substandard compared to almost everywhere else we have eaten. The chicken was reasonable, but aside from the option of the peri peri flavour, would be far-preferred from other nearby restaurants. We won't be in a hurry to order from here again...
The chicken flavour is OK, the fries are quite bad as well as the service and the ordering process. Restaurant ambiance was not the best. Food pricing was average.
This review is getting 2 stars only because the short hostess with black straight hair was very helpful to us today (1pm-ish, Monday, April 17, table 24) was really terrific. Other than that, we were quite disappointed by the concept. Getting our seats, then looking at menu's, then going to the front cashier line up to place our order, pay for our food & TIP (tip in all caps for a reason), then getting our cutlery/drinks/napkins, going back to our seats to wait for our food to be finally, delivered to our table. Seems really overwhelming and frustrating that we are doing all the work and then being asked to tip even before we saw any food. When our food did arrive, it was a very skinny chicken leg with barely no meat on it and very salty Cajun fries. We left feeling very hungry, and as if we just ate a box of Cajun salt. Our bill totaled $29 which included 1 bottle of Stella. So, with that said, I think we will go across the street where we can have a waiter/waitress take our order and feel justified in giving a tip. Salt is still an issue there too but not as bad as Nandos. So glad it wasn't super busy as it is on a Friday night where you wait to get your table, then probably wait in line to order and pay..etc, etc.....sounds so painful! Perhaps this concept is better for a younger crowd rather than middle aged customers.

Please don't pretend you don't see me, when I am the one at the front of the "line" right in front of you. If you don't want to work with the public, this is not the job for you.Other than this episode, this is a great place to visit for lunch or dinner, I usually get take out.
We've tried a few times to have dinner at Nandos but the line up is always out the door each time we have tried. This time we arrived around 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. Finally got in without a problem. We loved the idea of ordering right at the cash and then picking up all your sauces and cutlery ourselves. The booth we were sat in was quite comfortable. I ordered the lemon and herb chicken and my boyfriend ordered the hot sauce. The lemon chicken did have a wee bite to as well. You also get to build your meal by adding whatever sides you want. We both went for fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was really good and bigger than a sample you normally get at restaurants. Good fries. The chicken was excellent. No wonder there is always a line up. We will definitely be going back.
