Their Ginseng Chicken Soup is life-giving. Sahh **** good & nourishing for the soul. Just how I imagine mama use to make it - whole tiny bird, broth & a whole lotta love. Season with salt, & bathe in the feels. View all feedback.
What Ethelyn Runolfsson dislikes about Charcoal BBQ House:
With the closure of the nearby Tobaki BBQ and Mapo BBQ, it leaves only three Korean BBQ restaurants in the Southside. We like this restaurant for its fast friendly service, good food and reasonable prices. The charcoal is red-hot and easily lasts the duration of our entire meal. Phuong and I order the Beef Platter. Meats are well presented and a complimentary Spicy Soup is provided. A very enjoyable dinner! View all feedback.
The food was absolutely amazing! Loved my bi bim bap!!! The service was also very good and i will be going back sometime to try the bbq. I do think they need better ventilation as it is quite bbq smelling in the restaurant when everyone has their bbqs going. Overall a great experience! :-)
Great selection of authentic Korean food. Big hearty meals served quickly. We usually order the bimbibap, tofu seafood hotspot or the beef bone soup noodles.
Staffs were kindness. But foods were not good. My friend order donkatsu. Only two spoons of rice with Donkatsu I recommend this place for dieter.
We have been here twice - once for hotpot and once for KBBQ. When I came for the hotpot, we had the mushroom and beef hotpot - non spicy. The broth was incredible, and there was a plentiful amount of greens, beef and enoki mushrooms. It also came with rice and sides. This korean restaurant has the best sides I have tasted so far, and service was quick and efficient. I came back again a few weeks later for the "Beef Set B" BBQ. I have to say, usually I am more of a fan of Japanese BBQ places like Shinbashi where the cut of the meat is thinner and easier to eat, but this place really gave Shinbashi a run for its money. The meat was of high quality which meant it was much easier to digest. There were also nice sides as well like spicy korean soup and a steamed egg dish. There was no rice, but I was so full, it didn't really matter. I only wish that the menu specified what was included in the "Beef Set BBQ" as it was in Korean and we had to call the waiter over to ask. They should definitely specify what is included in the sets in English. I would definitely come here again, the food and quality of the meat is excellent. The service is rather quick as well.
