Was Matthew Hubbard at Columbia Steakhouse a mag?
Me and my buddy ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium with sauteed mushrooms and onions. Had a big huge baked potato and a awesome salad with blue cheese. I enjoyed the meal and so did my friend but I ordered a West six IPA and a Kentucky ale which they didn't have so I got the Bourbon barrel ale and both were out of date. Overall, great place and will be back next time, but will order a cocktail or wine. View all feedback.

What Rudy Kulas dislikes about Columbia Steakhouse:
Steak tips were excellent, but not exactly what I ordered. Our server was pretty good, but she was working lunch alone with customers in three dining rooms. Poor lady needed roller skates! I can honestly say the decor hasn 't changed in 40 years. My wife said, Neither have the clients! In our 50 's, we were by far the youngest couple there. View all feedback.

Our waiting person was amanda. she was prompt, friendly, personal and until the earth. my older onkel brought his emotional support animal, lil' buddy, a Yorkie/terrier and when we took her for a small bowl of water for lil' buddy she was back in 2 minutes! (I am always impressed when the employees put my priorities * their priorities). eating was delicious and served almost as fast as lil 'bud’s water. it does not have the corporate atmosphere they expect at a place, iike applebee 's but I would honestly say it was better than texas roadhouse, applebee 's, or most of the other national franchise competitors. the best steak I had in quite awhile. this place is the local lexington and the people who work there are local and I think that makes a difference. try to eat locally and give them a try. I would be very surprised if you weren't happy you did it!

Now, this place has been there since 1948, to be honest, it needs updating. the staff was friendly, eating was just okay. steak looks big but very thin and was overcooked. it should be a new york strip if such bad cut quality. it was tender. a suggestion would be the updating of the interior, especially carpets, which seem to contribute to the musty odor at the place. the bathroom also needs a bit, quite rough. total staff was what this restaurant got 3 stars if not 2. if I went back to lexington, I wouldn't eat here. not on my recommended list.

One of the last old steak houses in America! Yes, the decoration has not been updated since the 60s. that is the candidate of coming. it is always rare to find such a time capsule of American food! I hope they never update the dining room or get at least one part of it. eating is always good, the kitchen is professional, and the staff is sincere. when they are tired of modern global giant chains, they visit this location. highly recommended!

The hostess was setting people out of order. Staff was sitting up for large party in back removing tables and chairs from restaurant. Leaving no place to set customers. Grill employee has a nasty month. We can do without the F word. I have to give a big shame call, out to Greg Penn for letting the restaurant be so run down and DIRTY. Clean your doors, it's the first impression customers have of the restaurant. The food was good, steak was a little over cooked. Bread was good for a change. Salad needed more seasoning and potato was very good. Wish they used real butter.
