What Allen Rosenbaum dislikes about Blacksmith Bakery:
I had read positive things about this place and brought my family to share a hot chocolate and coffee break here. We were enjoying our pastries and when we heard an employee announce that “this is Canada” and we should come pick up our drinks....I was taken aback by this comment and wondered why it was made. It felt like a racist remark more than a humourous joke to me. Maybe my non-white skin is thin but this experi... View all feedback.

On the way to Fort Langley Gulf Club for hole of gulf , Dropped in for a bite, they open very early in the morning , it is one of the local favoured coffee shop hang out , all way line up ,...decor very mordant and clean , the bakery is a European style , their signature Croissant and pastries is the best over all in midland , I never say No to croissant and Steak ,it is part of my life ! menus not over size , lot of choices ,from breakfast to lunch ,pastries ,pizza , hot and cold beverages , not expensive at all , ,my Bacon Cheese Croissant very delicious ,not greasy , the iced latte is very flavourful , not like ice water , staff told me I should come back try the lunch and Pizza , it is fabulous , also lovely patio out side the bakery , if you in Fort Langley ,got to drop in and try it out ! they also have a location in the Langley Air Port ,also a new location opening soon in N .Langley , truly recommended it !

Well, after waiting in the line up outside for min, which due to covid is not to be unexpected but when there were only two people in front of me it was frustrating to say the least finally made it inside and waited min to finally order a cinnamon roll and coffee, came to bucks and I had only a bill and was told we don't take cash so had to outside and borrow my friends Visa so I could pay, Mentioned it would be nice if could at least post that outside so people would know in advance received no reply so they/she lost out on a dollar tip. Cinnamon roll was not fresh, hard and cold, day old at least ,thought about going back in but now to ten people waiting in line and didn't feel like waiting another hour or so. Wont be back.

It felt like a racist remark more than a humourous joke to me. Maybe my non-white skin is thin but this experience made me, a generation Canadian, feel unwelcome and uncomfortable and it ruined my day. I won’t be back to have my family exposed to such behaviour.

We've been wanting to try this place out forever! This bakery offers decadent pastries, yummy cakes, amazing beverages....and more! The staff was friendly and amazing, making this place a MUST VISIT whenever you're in Fort Langley!!! It does get a little packed but we were...able to grab a table within minutes after we order. Here are a few items we tried and loved: Chef Special Choux Bomb...with honey cream, cassis gelee, and candied almonds...it's what I imagine what clouds taste like! The Chocolate Nemesis is the richest GF dark chocolate cake! Double Baked Hazelnut Croissant...OMG I don't know what sorcery they performed on this thing but can I have of them! Next up, Butterfly Blue Matcha Latte...what can I say, I'm a sucker for pretty colours...and THIS WAS THE PRETTIEST MATCHA I HAVE EVER HAD .. They also have lunch menu available so I guess We have to go back for more!

Visited on a beautiful Sunday morning in October just before going on a beautiful hike along the Fraser River! We all got coffees, breakfasts and a few bakery delights to go! Loved the vibe of the place and it was quick, easy and great! The...cafe was clean and located in a really neat spot near the actual fort! We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience!!
