"Use been here with my family for dinner and a wine tasting. I’d give this 12 stars if I could, we had such a good time. We were met by the son JoaoMota, who was to introduce us to various wines and ports. He was phenomenal. He spoke English and was so passionate about his wines and port, he was an absolute mine of information. If you buy a bottle of Portuguese wine, you should have him with you to tell you how to drink it; like decanting it or not, and why. He was delightful and brought us food and wine with such niceness, I’d have like to take him home. He told us all about the food we were eating and about what went with it, and we discovered that we like PORT TONIC; white port with ice, lemon and tonic water…..and possibly a sprig of mint. It was just the 4 of us, though he usually has to contend with coach parties or groups from boat, so for him just to be dealing with the 4 of us, was great for all of us. Can’t recommend this place too highly, because of him."
