NC Coast Grill & Bar offers a mix of experiences according to diner remarks. Some point to inconsistent service and quality, with some dishes being overcooked and underwhelming, while others praise their steamed seafood platter and beignets. Many have enjoyed the creative food options, like the Chef's Board and coconut curry bowl, with beautiful views and accommodating staff. Live music, sunset views, and warm desserts like beignets delight patrons, leaving them wanting more. While some experiences may be hit or miss, this restaurant in Duck is definitely worth a visit for a taste of the Outer Banks.

Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is wonderful, the view is stunning, and the food is incredible! My husband and I shared the chef's board, and we highly recommend it! You get a variety of items, including dessert, and everything was delicious! The menu is creative and refreshing. We will definitely be back! View all feedback.

What User dislikes about NC Coast Grill Bar:
The food and service here are excellent. The acoustics are horrible. There was live entertainment and it was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. They desperately need to add acoustic tiles to the ceiling. Even after the entertainment left and there were only a dozen people left in the building it sounded like 50. The Sound views are great during daylight hours. I would probably go back for lunch but not for... View all feedback.

That's what I love the Outer Banks for: excellent, fresh food, uncomplicated drinks and being allowed to be whoever you want to be. NC Coast Grill Bar combines it all. There was even live music and a sunset to go with it. This place is great and I will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There is NOTHING I can say to truly describe how amazing this restaurant is. It is phenomenal... from the service to the food, everything was perfect. You have a beautiful view of the sound as well. Every moment of service was carefully thought out the hosts were accommodating and gave accurate wait times, the bartender Sam was so hospitable and made amazing drinks... our server Carlos was phenomenal as well. Mike, the GM, was incredibly hospitable. He was very present on the floor with his team and very engaged with guests. The food was second to none everyone at our table had a different dish, and they are ALL amazing! I left this experience in complete awe as it is so rare to have such a perfect experience these days. THANK YOU! We will be back :

A local staple. Hard to get into after 5:30. Good and the food boards are extremely flavorful. Salmon was one of the best I have had anywhere. Tomahawk pork chop with the bacon jam is always a go to for me. Yum!!!

A fantastic spot right on the sound. Food is terrific try the pork chop, you will not be disappointed. Its basically their take on a tomahawk ribeye only with a tender, juicy porkchop and a 10 or 12 inch rib attached. Both are flavorful and cooked to perfection no dried out chop here. My only negative is that they don't take reservations in season (beginning April 1st) so we won't get up that way again until after labor day.
