This place is clearly a great place to hang out and is always busy on a uni day. This branch has an outdoor and indoor seating which makes it ideal to enjoy the weather and sip on that amazing hot chocolate which comes in their cute hugmug. The waffle with icecream n fruits was yum too. The prices are slightly on the higher side but guess the quality of the chocolate n taste compensates for it! View all feedback.
What Vernice Kilback dislikes about Max Brenner Chocolate Bar:
Max Brenner in Sydney appears to be different than in NYC. Here, you can only order desserts (no steaks or other real food). It's a cute place that is more like a coffee shop than a restaurant. The chocolate lava cake was good.

Located in the little restaurant area at the lower campus of UNSW. Lots of seating available, friendly staff and quite a variety of desserts all offering a range of chocolate options, however I think it’s a little bit overpriced for what you get. Overall a good place to go in groups after a lovely dinner Food recommendation: tutti-frutti waffle
The salted caramel hot chocolate tasted amazing but was strangely not very hot. I asked for it to be heated again, but it still was pretty lukewarm. Would’ve loved it if was at a higher temperature it makes for the best winter-warming drink.

Max burner chocolate bar is specialized in serving chocolate related drinks and desserts, so chocolate lovers would love this place. I had hoped that there would be non-dessert menus because I hadn't lunch, but why not even desserts to lunch food: I ordered the classic hot milk chocolate (AUS$5.90) and chocolate soufflé (AUS$10.50) to be honest, soufflé did not meet my expectations. it tasted like an ok chocolate cake, too dry and too rich for my pleasure, and not really resembled a soufflé but the hot chocolate has taken me a big influence. from the first swallow I immediately felt deeply. I can say that it's the best hot chocolate I've ever...read more
