"This restaurant is amazing. It is honestly one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried in Australia. Don't be deceived by its modest appearance. They are currently only offering takeout services.".
What Tod Dach dislikes about Anki's Indian Restaurant:
Overpriced and gross slop. By the time, we got this take-away home it had turned my car, clothes, and shoes into an oily mess definitely not worth the price or the clean-up. Overall unpleasant. The woman who took the order was hardly personable, having us...wait while she disappeared into the back. Just terrible overall service, quality of food, condition of restaurant. Nothing good about it. I think it has high revi... View all feedback.
If you like northern Indian cuisine you will love this place. It ticked all boxes on a cold winters night. The dishes were fresh, tasty and different from the standard Indian menus seen in Sydney. Give it a try. A great find.
After two great entrees we didn't need a main so one more entree was enough. Great value and good food.
Average foodFair priceAlthough Indian bain marie food (i.e. North Indian diner) compares favourably for half the price Rely on a monopoly of a small townExtremely poor service. We seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff. Almost grunting in verbal responses. NO eye contact. Had to wait for a table despite others being available. We sat near the door with a rickety table and froze. Zero table service Had to chase staff Electric insect zapper scented the air with a burnt hair smell and a continual zapping smell as dead insects were roasted into charred stinking lumps
We were so lucky to get a table without a booking at this tiny Indian restaurant on a recent winter Saturday night. The naan was so, so good. Definitely order the samosas, the filling packs a punch. Wait staff run off feet. BYO.
