Hogs Breath cafe restaurant

Like a few other reviewers I'm really not sure what changed here over the years. It used to be good. You'd look forward to the steak and especially that hot loaf of bread you'd cut yourself. Now the hot loaf is gone and the steaks are truly awful. We went back again last night in the hope that a recent visit was an anomaly but sadly it was even worse. The steak is the biggest let down of all. Are the steaks really precooked and they just heat them up? Surely not? Surely no restaurant would charge $30-$40 for a steak and just heat it up?!! That was it for us, we won't be returning again.

If you crave tender meat, something that's good for the kids, and price in the moderate range, this place will tick the boxes, during the week is still busy so a booking would be advised, good dessert for big n little kids too!

Brilliant 300 gram steak (smaller & larger options), one of the best I've had. Beers were cheaper than many pubs. Definitely will go back.

I used to like dining at Hogs Breath, we have been so many times and never disappointed, Whenever we had overseas visitors it was a must. But dining there last wee was such a disappointment, the sharing plate which used to be a favorite has now been changed to a "Crummed Platter" with everything in breadcrumbs and deep fried, it's just awful, I suppose it's now all frozen and cheap to do and then when you order the Steak with Calamari, you get the same soggy bread crumbed rings served up to you again. The Steaks are not the size and quality they used to be and the whole place is looking tired, time for a redecorate and a change of menu I think.On a positive note there was plenty of staff and they were friendly and efficient.

Brilliant, food was DELICIOUS & decent prices. Will definitely come back. Wait staff were very friendly and professional.
